Betting Exchanges

A betting exchange is a place where people meet to bet against eachother, instead of against a traditional bookmaker. This means that you can act both as a boomaker and/or a punter - this opens up fantastic possibilities and is also fundamental for trading. There are quite a few actors on themarket, but today Betfair dominates the scene so much that other exchanges has a hard time getting decent liquidity in their markets.

The king of the hill. The biggest betting exchange around, and also the place where an absolute majority of all traders hang out. Good liquidity and lots of markets, and also the exchage supported by most trading softwares.

If Betfair is the king, then many people consider BetDaq to be the prince. Their main problem is the lack of liquidity, and they are not really in the same league as Betfair yet. Too bad, as Betfair would need some competition.

Betsson
Betsson logoThe betting exchange i first came in touch with, as they had a big marketing campaign in Sweden several years ago. Their exchange seems to be low priority though, as they put all their efforts on poker and bookmaking
